For thirteen years, the September return has been less bitter, softened by a rendezvous rich in creations, discoveries, and surprises. In September, the capital lives design and vibrates to the rhythm of a protean creativity contained within the promise of Paris Design Week.
In the streets, the workshops, the galleries and showrooms, in the department stores and sometimes even in apartments, designers from here and elsewhere, publishing houses, artisans, and students compose a mosaic of savoir-faire and inventiveness, spread across four central hubs: Opéra/Concorde/Étoile with its luxury brands; Marais/Bastille/République, stronghold of the young guard and collectible furniture galleries; Palais-Royal/Place des Victoires/Pigalle, the new hot spot of a creativity that never ceases to surprise, not to mention the Left Bank, with its collectors’ galleries, major publishers, and artisans.
