Design takes over the city
Alongside the Maison & Objet fair, Paris Design Week offers contemporary creation a lavish stage, set within some of the capital’s most beautiful spaces. Whether in the open air or sheltered within galleries and museums, the proposals of this 15th edition take on spectacular dimensions.
In September, design is right at home in Paris. Taking advantage of Paris Design Week, creators, interior architects, publishing houses and artists from around the world are reshaping the city, adorning its finest courtyards, galleries and other unexpected addresses with their many talents. These newly inhabited spaces are to be explored from September 4 to 13 (and for longer in some cases), across the neighborhoods of the Marais, Saint-Germain-des-Prés, the Opéra and Bastille. In total, 375 venues are mobilized for this anniversary edition, celebrating the event’s 15th year.
At Galerie BSL, on rue des Beaux-Arts, marble takes center stage through the work of young artist and designer Jimmy Delatour, who is presenting a sculptural furniture collection created in collaboration with the Marbreries de la Seine, inspired by Pompeii.
