By leading figure in contemporary architecture French Isabelle Stanislas, who joined in 2019 the exclusive group of 100 international Interior Designers chosen by AD USA, the 'Ellipse' Dining Table is a graphic collectible design work incarnating the designer’s ‘artistic philosophy of structure’, in other words her desire to create a design that aims at a form of quintessence. This table is based on the masterful conjugation of three materials: white Estremoz marble, black Marquina marble, and bronze-colored patinated brass. Each marble is imagined both individually and in association with the striking choice of a striped motif. A quasi kinetic visual game materializes in the extremely powerful yet contained graphic composition created by the combination of the black and white lines of the marble and the patinated brass elements. Isabelle Stanislas’ ‘Ellipse' Dining Table is exclusively produced and sold by Galerie BSL in a limited edition of 8 pieces + 4 artist proofs.
Isabelle Stanislas was chosen by Le Mobilier National (French national authority regarding state furniture since the 17th century) as well as by Emmanuel and Brigitte Macron to renovate the formal reception rooms of le Palais de l’Elysée (French Presidential Palace). She is featured in the book published at Rizzoli’s by Marie Kalt & AD France entitled ‘The New Chic: French Style from today’s leading interior designers’.
