By French Lebanese designer Charles Kalpakian, 'MOON' is a contemporary armchair with a vintage twist in Kvadrat upholstery. Its very high back and its unusual width and depth (80 cm both) make it particularly welcoming and comfortable. This contemporary armchair is a reinterpretation of several major classics from the 50’s. Soft, pure yet flexible lines in a clean movement are enhanced by the contrast of colors. Each armrest is imagined like a woven jewel and is the final touch, completing the attire. Each color version is a limited edition of 10 + 2AP.
Charles Kalpakian’s design has three roots: France where he lives, Lebanon where he was born in 1982, and the Street Art culture. These influences transpire through his reinterpretation of a combination of motifs from the history of Decorative Arts and iconic Lebanese motifs, filtered by a resolute urban and contemporary culture. The stroke is always clean, even if the gesture resembles calligraphy in space.
